I honestly had no idea how early people decorate their trees in Canada and the US until recently, but I can understand why when you tree looks as good as that! We'll wait until mid-December before we buy ours, then take it down on New Years Day.

I hope you feel better soon. xGillian Roehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05080123177116154219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-37811715098055066202013-11-20T06:10:15.956-08:002013-11-20T06:10:15.956-08:00Sounds like you make your tree decorating day into...Sounds like you make your tree decorating day into an affair as well! It's such fun to do. I neglected to mention that we have Christmas music playing while we decorate and then when we're finished we read the Christmas story from Luke 2, sing Silent night and have Christmas goodies (shortbread, Apple cider, cookies etc). Traditions are so important. The bread is soft inside and really good. If you'd like the recipe you can email or I can post it on the blog.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07322166393958405201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-48975525765939114212013-11-20T06:05:26.703-08:002013-11-20T06:05:26.703-08:00You must post pictures of your decorated studio! Mind you, most Canadians don't put their tree up quite as early as we do!!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07322166393958405201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-88237812857620217482013-11-20T06:04:04.804-08:002013-11-20T06:04:04.804-08:00Sounds like your hubby works out of town. I'm sure you're looking forward to your daughter coming home from university for Christmas. Our eldest son went to Toronto (5 hours away) for college and we always loved it when he came home. Our other two went to one of our local universities and lived at home, so that was great. They both still live locally with their spouses and Adam is settled in Toronto. We are off to see him and Alicia next weekend actually and can't wait! Have fun decorating your tree. Can't wait to see photos!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07322166393958405201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-14704097233082367022013-11-19T18:45:37.260-08:002013-11-19T18:45:37.260-08:00Thanks for stopping in and leaving a lovely commen...Thanks for stopping in and leaving a lovely comment on my blog www.oursimpleandmeaningfullife.blogspot.com. Rhonda's book is not only informative, the designer of it nailed the brief with it's organic homely look to the book and the way it's set out. I love Christmas Traditions and as my son's birthday is on the 27th November I don't like to have the tree up until just after that to separate the two events. My sister (my kids Aunty Lisa) come around and we make an afternoon of it and photograph it, put on Christmas music....sometimes it can be a little stressful with two children wanting to pick the same item for the tree or one not doing it right but it's our family tradition and we love it. Your bread making looked great....just wondering is the loaf soft inside or is a heavy bread? I've got a thermomix so making flour is a matter of turning a dial however at the moment I'm buying it from a bulk food store already ground up. Love the Christmas decorating photos....just beautiful memories for your family and friends. It's a long standing tradition from my Momma. I think I will sneak and decorate just my studio today though. Just to get me through. I love how decorating your lovely tree is a family tradition!Jen Kershnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16128661586028201160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-8722679776278468632013-11-19T03:03:54.397-08:002013-11-19T03:03:54.397-08:00Had to check out your tree post. Your tree looks beautiful..I have no family near us, so it's just friends mainly for Xmas. I have to start buying presents early so my hubby can play Santa and deliver them for me when he goes back to work which is near most of them. The tree will be picked up and decorated by myself and my son only this year. As daughter will still be at Uni until late December and hubby won't be coming home for Xmas until Xmas Eve. So Christmas will be all done when we are all togeather. as a family.
Rosezeeta.
primrosesattichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10413782888139380761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-957228866499813574.post-25979717832934561102013-11-18T12:53:45.982-08:002013-11-18T12:53:45.982-08:00Thanks Anne. It's chicken soup for dinner which I made last night when we were both feeling lousy. Luckily I'm not as bad as Wendell who, poor thing, had a meeting at the office that he had to go to this afternoon. He works from home most days, but today was one where he had to go to the office unfortunately. He should be home soon then it's soup and PJ's! I'm sure little O would love to help you decorate your tree, It's magical for them. Who am I kidding - it's magical for us too! How long are they keeping Tony in the hospital? Any prognosis yet? I hope he will be home soon, but I hope you gain comfort knowing he is in the right place if he's uncomfortable. You are both in our prayers. Tony has been back in hospital overnight so its not much fun here. I love the idea of your tree trimming party though, last year we did a similar thing with our small artificial tree in our tiny hallway and our Aussie grandchildren did the honours. Sadly they wont be doing it this year but O might do. Little Norah looks confused but she is more adorable than ever. I will keep my hand sewing going just to keep busy. The rest of the time I will be baking and catching up with friends old and new, it will be open house and if last year is a guide I will do a lot of baking.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18406981075860636289noreply@blogger.com
