Seaside here we come!!!!!!

We just booked today for three nights in our lovely Billowhouse!

This is where we were supposed to go for Valentine's day but due to my injury and also the weather (bad snowstorm) we had to cancel.  We were throwing around the idea today of taking off tomorrow for a long weekend and thought about Maine, however, they are expecting a bad storm on Monday (the day we would come home), so we didn't want to risk that.  We have booked for the weekend of the 14th and hopefully the snow won't be so bad then.  We will leave Thursday afternoon and stay in Vermont for the night so that we only have a 3 1/2 hour drive on Friday (half way) and will have that much longer at the ocean and we will drive home on the Monday.

Oh how we long for the beach.  It doesn't matter what time of year it is.

I can almost smell it now!!

Two weeks from today!!

    1. It's our sort of place for sure! It's a lovely B&B which we stay at every October for our anniversary. The cottage we rent for two weeks at the end of August is a few houses up the beach. At the Billowhouse we are totally pampered and feel like family!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Patricia. I will do a blog post when we return. We love the seaside and crave it often. Maine is the closest we have and it's just over a seven hour drive. I took the closeness of the seaside for granted when I lived in England as a child!

  7. Julie hopefully your shoulder will be on the mend soon and the beach is great for anyone spirit. I seriously don't know how you guys do it with all that snow in your yard, roads etc. It is so foreign to us here in sunny Brisbane. We have snow in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania but not here in Brisbane. Great that you are both able to enjoy having the grandkids there for sleepovers... my kids love their sleepovers at Granny's place. (that's my mum). Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia
